What the result means
A QR result is data, not a trust verdict.
The scanner classifies common URL, WiFi, contact, email, phone, and SMS payloads so they are easier to recognize. It does not verify whether a website, number, network, or contact is safe.
Why no automatic link opening?
A scanned code can contain an unexpected destination. Showing the exact decoded text first keeps navigation as a separate, deliberate decision rather than a side effect of scanning.
Are uploaded images sent anywhere?
No. Image decoding occurs in this browser tab. The selected source is not uploaded by the QR scanner.
Why did the scanner miss a visible code?
Blur, glare, perspective, low contrast, tiny modules, damage, or unsupported image decoding can interfere. Crop closer or use a clearer source.
Does camera scanning work on every phone?
No universal claim is made. Camera access depends on browser, device, permissions, and secure-page support. Image scanning remains available without camera access.
