BeanNest prefers local browser processing. The current PDF quick tools, PDF Editor, image tools, and AI Image Upscaler read and create files on your device. BeanNest does not provide an upload endpoint for these tools.

What the browser tools do not send

They do not send PDF or image bytes, filenames, page text, thumbnails, document metadata, face or image information, or a file fingerprint to BeanNest. Results and previews use temporary browser objects that are removed when you replace files, reset a tool, close an Editor workspace, or leave the page. The AI Image Upscaler downloads versioned static model files from BeanNest, but the selected image and generated pixels are not included in those requests.

Analytics

BeanNest may use aggregate Cloudflare traffic reporting to understand visits, requests, popular paths, countries, device categories, and data transfer. This reporting is separate from Google Analytics. BeanNest currently has no visitor accounts, and the local management dashboard does not store visitor-level profiles.

Google Analytics is currently enabled automatically on public production pages. When enabled, the Google tag loads when a page opens so BeanNest can understand which pages and internal links are used and whether a browser tool is started, completed, cancelled, failed, or followed by a result download.

BeanNest may send the page title, the page path without a query string or fragment, a broad site area, sanitized internal-link destination paths, and coarse tool events such as started, completed, cancelled, failed, or downloaded. Tool events use fixed identifiers and broad buckets for duration, input/output size, result count, target, stage, outcome, and output format. They do not send filenames, file contents, document text, images, thumbnails, metadata, hashes, object URLs, precise dimensions, exact byte counts, exact durations, user-entered values, or raw error messages. Advertising storage, advertising personalization, Google signals, User-ID, and cross-domain tracking are not enabled by this analytics rollout. BeanNest also opts out of sending user-provided data through the Google tag.

Google Analytics may process standard technical and engagement data needed to provide analytics, such as timestamps, first-party analytics identifiers, browser and device information, language, screen size, and IP-derived location information. BeanNest's operating checklist requires Google-side automatic event, user-provided data, advertising, and granular location/device controls to be reviewed and restricted to what the site actually needs.

Advertising

Advertising is currently disabled. When enabled, only configured ad slots load the approved provider script. File processing remains independent of advertising, and PDF or image contents are not provided to the advertising service by the tools.

Contact messages

Messages sent through the Contact page are handled through Gmail. The sender address, message, and any details you choose to include are used to reply, investigate a report, or handle a privacy or security request. They are not added to a newsletter or marketing list.

Because Gmail hosts the address, Google processes and stores email under its own service terms and privacy practices. Do not send files, passwords, identity documents, financial records, medical information, or other sensitive content. Contact records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, security, recordkeeping, or legal requirements. You may use the same address to request access, correction, or deletion of contact information held by the project, subject to applicable retention requirements.

Important limitation

Browser processing uses your device memory, CPU, and, for the AI Image Upscaler, WebGPU. Versioned file, page, pixel, parser, thumbnail, history, model, and output limits reject jobs before they are likely to destabilize the browser. Unknown devices use the conservative profile. Local synthetic benchmarks can support a reviewed future limit change, but no visitor document or device measurement is transmitted for this purpose. Compress PDF and PDF to Images rasterize content; page-copy and Editor exports can also lose document-level structures. Keep every original when selectable text, forms, links, annotations, signatures, bookmarks, or accessibility structure matter.
