BeanNestTools

Barcode Generator

Generate the symbol only after the value checks out.

Use Code 128 for general printable text, or EAN-13 / UPC-A when you have the correct numeric identifier. BeanNest calculates or validates the check digit before rendering.

EAN-13: enter 12 digits to calculate the check digit, or 13 to validate it. UPC-A: enter 11 or 12 digits.

Encoded value
Check digit

A mathematically valid barcode value does not prove that the number is registered, assigned to your organization, accepted by a retailer, or appropriate for a specific supply chain.

Pick the format for the job

Three focused formats instead of a wall of obscure symbologies.

01

Code 128

A dense general-purpose linear barcode for printable ASCII text and numbers in this tool. No external registration is implied.

02

EAN-13

Provide 12 digits and BeanNest calculates digit 13, or provide all 13 and BeanNest rejects a mismatched checksum.

03

UPC-A

Provide 11 digits to calculate digit 12, or all 12 to validate. The checksum protects transcription, not product ownership.

Limits

Valid bars are not the same as a valid commercial identifier.

BeanNest checks syntax and EAN/UPC check digits, then renders the symbol. It does not assign company prefixes, register GTINs, verify product ownership, or certify print quality.

PNG or SVG?

SVG stays sharp when resized in design software or print workflows. PNG is convenient for ordinary documents and screens. Test final physical prints with the scanners that matter to your workflow.

Can BeanNest create a retail UPC for a new product?

It can render a UPC-A number you already have and validate its checksum. It does not issue or register a retail identifier.

Why did my full EAN/UPC number get rejected?

If the last digit does not match the deterministic checksum calculated from the preceding digits, BeanNest refuses to silently change it.

Does the value leave my browser?

No barcode-generation service receives it. Rendering and export happen locally in the page.
