What the result means
This is a controlled background, not an automatic detector.
Your eyes do the inspection. A pixel that remains black on bright backgrounds, stays bright on black, or shows the wrong color can be worth checking again. BeanNest cannot identify the physical cause or certify a panel from inside a web page.
Full screen is optional.
Full screen can make edge inspection easier, but browsers may block or limit it. The exact same solid-color test remains available inside the page when full screen is unavailable. Escape is never trapped.
No pixels or screenshots leave your device.
This tool only changes the page background. It does not request screen sharing, read display pixels, save screenshots, or upload an image of your screen.
What is the difference between a dead and stuck pixel?
People commonly call a consistently dark pixel “dead” and a pixel or subpixel stuck on one color “stuck.” A browser test can help you notice the symptom, but it cannot diagnose the panel electronics behind it.
Can this test fix a stuck pixel?
No repair claim is made. BeanNest provides static inspection colors only. If a manufacturer recommends a recovery procedure, follow the panel maker's guidance and warranty terms.
Why hide the controls?
Use Hide controls when you want to inspect the pixels underneath the control bar. Press H or tap once anywhere on the test surface to restore the controls before changing colors.
Does the browser know my monitor model?
No. This test does not read EDID, panel firmware, monitor serial numbers, or a hardware defect map. It only paints browser content with fixed colors.
